Important: Emergency & Out Of Hours Medical Advice

In an emergency, for example: collapse, chest pain or severe breathlessness, call 999 for an ambulance.

If you are in a situation where you need medical advice fast or need to go to A&E, but it is not a 999 emergency, please call 111 for non-urgent medical advice

Read further advice from East of England NHS ambulance service.

Have You Considered Seeing a Pharmacist?

Your local pharmacist can provide expert advice for common illnesses such as coughs, colds, sore throats, ear infections, and aches and pains, as well as help with questions about medicines and possible side effects.

Under the Pharmacy First scheme, many pharmacies can now offer prescription medicines for certain conditions without you needing to see a GP. These include:

· Impetigo (age 1+)

· Infected insect bites (age 1+)

· Earache (ages 1–17)

· Sore throat (age 5+)

· Sinusitis (age 12+)

· Urinary tract infections (UTIs) (women aged 16–64)

· Shingles (age 18+)

If you’re not within these age ranges, the pharmacist can still offer advice and suggest suitable over-the-counter treatments. If needed, they can refer you to a GP or another health professional.

Your pharmacist will also update your GP record after any Pharmacy First consultation. Before visiting, it’s best to contact your pharmacy to check they provide these services.

Booking an Appointment

Booking an Appointment – Use an eConsult!

Our eConsult online form is the quickest way to get in touch with us. It’s available on our website Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:30.

🚑 Urgent Appointments

If you need to see a GP urgently, we’ll make sure you get the right care as quickly as possible.
All urgent requests are reviewed by a GP and prioritised based on medical need.

🕗 Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM

How to request help:

  • 💻 Online: Use eConsult – Quick, Simple, Right Care-First Time (Preferred and Encouraged Method)
  • ☎️ Call us: 01727 851589 (our team will fill in the form for you)

If needed, you may be asked to come in for a same-day appointment.

🌼 Routine Appointments

For non-urgent issues, you can still use eConsult — a GP will review your request and arrange the right next step for you.

💻 Submit eConsult

👶 For babies under 6 months, please phone the practice directly.

💬 Your Preferences Matter

When completing your eConsult, you can tell us if you:

  • Prefer a specific doctor or nurse
  • Would prefer a phone or face-to-face appointment- we will do our best to accomodate your preference
  • Need an interpreter or help with communication
  • Have any access needs

⚡ What Happens Next

A GP will review your eConsult within one working day (often sooner).
We’ll then contact you to let you know the next step — this might be:

  • An appointment
  • A request for more details
  • A referral to another service or clinician

👉 Please keep your phone nearby, as we may contact you shortly after you send in your form — in some cases, we may need you to attend the surgery the same day.

You do not need an account to use this website.

When eConsult is Temporarily Closed

Our doctors take time to carefully review each request. On very busy days, during national IT issues or any other unforeseen circumstance, we may need to temporarily close access to the form. We always aim to keep these closures to a minimum and as short as possible – Thank you for bearing with us should this happen.

Other Ways To Contact Us

If online access isn’t possible, you can still reach us in the following ways:

Ask a member of your family, friends or carer to submit the form on your behalf

By phone: Call our reception team on 01727 851589. Our staff will take the information from you, fill an eConsult on your behalf and pass it on to a GP.

In Person: Visit the surgery during our opening hours (08:30-18:30 Monday to Friday) and we’ll help you complete the form at reception.
