Appointments

New and urgent concerns

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday) during opening times:

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with. You will be assigned to our triage service, and added to the triage list on the same day, or following day, depending on triage appointment capacity. Our duty doctor will call you to discuss your concern, and if required, you will be invited to attend a same day appointment. The duty doctor can also provide advice and/or a prescription which can be collected from your local pharmacy.

Non-urgent concerns

For non-urgent concerns, contact us online using eConsult to request an appointment/advice.
Incoming online requests are monitored by doctors and administrators throughout the working day.

You do not need an account to use this website.

This should not be used for emergencies.

Important: If you need help when we are closed

If you are in a situation where you need medical advice fast or need to go to A&E, but it is not a 999 emergency, please call 111 for non-urgent medical advice

In an emergency, for example: collapse, chest pain or severe breathlessness, call 999 for an ambulance

Telephone appointments

Our telephone appointments are available for patients who require advice from a doctor and do not need or wish to come into the surgery. Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Telephone appointments are useful for

  • Chronic disease management
  • Advice on all illnesses
  • Medication reviews
  • Prescription requests
  • Discussion of test results

Enhanced access

Parkbury House offers extended hours on some Saturday mornings, available with prearranged appointments only. There are only a limited number of these appointments available.

There are some out of hours telephone appointments available throughout the week.

If you require medical attention outside of our opening hours, please call Herts ‘111’ for medical advice.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:
